A holiday tradition at our studio.

Each year, our dancers have the opportunity to take part in The Nutcracker, a beloved holiday tradition and an unforgettable performance experience. From the first rehearsal to the final curtain call, dancers grow artistically, build confidence, and experience the joy of performing on stage as part of a professional-style production.

Why we love The Nutcracker.

More than a performance, The Nutcracker is an experience that fosters discipline, teamwork, and confidence. Dancers gain valuable stage experience, develop classical technique and storytelling skills, and create memories that last long after the season ends. For many, it becomes a highlight of the year—and for some, the moment they truly fall in love with dance.

Two young girls, one dressed as a princess and the other as a bunny, are on stage in front of a decorated Christmas tree with wrapped presents underneath. The girl dressed as a princess has curly hair and is wearing a light-colored dress, while the girl dressed as a bunny has her hair pulled back, bunny ears headband, and is wearing a furry costume with a tail.

How dancers take part.

Participation in The Nutcracker is open to eligible dancers based on age, experience, and current enrollment in our dance classes in Maynard. Each season includes a formal audition process, allowing dancers the opportunity to be thoughtfully cast in roles that support their growth and success.

Audition and rehearsal details are shared with studio families each year.

A celebration of dance and community.

Year after year, The Nutcracker brings our studio community together and reflects our commitment to high-quality training and meaningful performance opportunities. We look forward to welcoming dancers into this special tradition.
